About the role
Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Technician!
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Aids in the physical aspects of patient care.
- Technical assistance to nursing staff.
- Assistance in providing a safe and organized critical care environment (See attached Scope of Service).
- Performs clerical and receptionist duties.
- Observes the cardiac monitors.
- Aids in implementing the philosophy, objectives, standards of care, policies, and procedures of the department and Mercy Medical Center.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of two years’ nursing assistance experience, two years Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) experience, or paramedic training completion.
- Arrythmia monitoring course preferred.
Qualifications
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills.

Full time, 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week) Day shift 6:00am - 6:30pm
Schedule
