Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation) in caring for patients.
• Effectively interact with patients, significant others, and other health team members.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety, and related criteria for newborns, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Requirements

• Graduate of a state-approved RN school.
• Current license as a RN in the State of Louisiana.
• CPR certification.

Training and Experience

• Previous experience preferred, but not required.

Job Knowledge

• Basic knowledge of the nursing process and nursing principles.
• Basic knowledge of biology and chemistry.
• Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Thorough knowledge of nursing procedures.
• Ability to supervise and direct other team members effectively.
