Role Overview
An experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in ICU or Telemetry is sought for per diem hospital assignments in Halifax, VA.
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, high-quality patient care in an acute-care setting
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatments
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as per physician orders
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and operate specialized equipment
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records
- Follow hospital policies, infection control, and safety guidelines
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Demonstrate professionalism and adaptability in a dynamic environment
Qualifications & Skills
- Active Virginia RN license
- At least one year of recent ICU or Telemetry experience within the past two years
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test (within 12 months)
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
