About the role

Join a healthcare staffing team as a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in ICU or Telemetry, with flexible per diem shifts in Halifax, VA. Provide safe, high-quality care in an acute-care hospital setting, including patient assessment, monitoring, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and operate specialized equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and adhere to hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards.
• Educate patients and families about treatments and discharge instructions.
• Demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, and commitment to high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• At least one year of recent ICU or Telemetry experience within the past two years.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test and COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.
