ICU NURSING EDUCATION SPECIALIST
Summary
The ICU Education Specialist represents and supports the mission, philosophy, and goals of the Cancer Center. They promote quality patient care through expert practice, staff development, consultation, and research. The ICU Education Specialist serves as a role model, consultant, change agent, and facilitator in assessing learning needs and planning, implementing, and evaluating educational activities for the Inpatient Intensive Care Unit.
Responsibilities
- Assess learning needs and develop educational programs for the Inpatient Intensive Care Unit.
- Serve as a role model, consultant, change agent, and facilitator in educational activities.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate educational activities for the Inpatient Intensive Care Unit.
- Exhibit the ability to organize and plan work activities, make independent decisions, and accept and delegate responsibility.
Requirements
- Master's Degree Nursing or Nursing Education
- Registered Nurse (RN) RN-Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of FL, or a valid Multi-State privilege to practice in FL (must declare FL as primary State of residence within 60 days from date of hire if licensed in another eNLC compact state with multi-state privileges)
- 5 years of ICU nursing experience
- Demonstrated knowledge in educational needs assessment
- Well-developed knowledge of education planning processes, various communication methods/new media, program development and evaluation
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills
- Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving capability
- Commitment to quality customer service
Qualifications
