ICU Nurse
About the role
As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will deliver the highest quality patient care according to each physician’s orders, educate patients and families on prevention and healthy habits, and provide individualized, comprehensive care. You will make critical assessments, perform skilled procedures, implement patient care plans, and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
This position is with Catholic Health Initiatives, now part of CommonSpirit Health, a faith‑based, non‑profit health system operating more than 700 care sites across the United States. Patients Medical Center (PMC) in Pasadena, Texas, provides inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services with 53 medical/surgical beds, eight ICU beds, and three endoscopy rooms.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients’ conditions and assess their needs.
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and provide treatments according to physicians’ orders.
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- At least 1 year of RN experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Specialty certification (e.g., CCRN, CNOR, CEN) preferred.
- Additional certification or licensure may be required for some specialty areas.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to educate patients and families on the in‑home healthcare process.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Pay
$33.00 – $52.80 per hour.
