ICT Design Engineer

About the role

Sentinel is seeking a ICT Design Engineer to lead the design of low-voltage and ICT systems for commercial and institutional projects. This role is responsible for creating client-specific solutions spanning structured cabling, wireless, data centers, AV, and physical security systems. You will develop design documentation (AutoCAD/Revit), cost estimates, and specifications from concept through construction, while collaborating closely with architects, MEP teams, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed design development, bid/permit, and construction drawings and written specifications utilizing AutoCAD and Revit
• Develop client-specific solutions spanning structured cabling, wireless, data centers, AV, and physical security systems
• Lead requirements discussions, review submittals, and support construction through site visits and coordination meetings
• Collaborate with architects, MEP teams, and clients to develop client-specific solutions

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of consulting experience in the design and specification of ICT systems and spaces, security systems, and audiovisual systems
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is desired but not required; equivalent industry experience will be considered
• Ability to manage projects independently as well as collaborate with team members on larger projects
• BICSI Certification (active RCDD or test-ready) or CTS certification are preferred
• Ability to leverage existing industry relationships with architects, project managers, and MEP engineering firms to develop new business opportunities
• The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between locations and the transportation of equipment

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
• Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
• Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude

Pay

$80,000-120,000/yr
