ICP Tax Senior Manager
About the role
The Senior Manager role within Withum’s Tax Services Group is based out of any of our California, Chicago, Houston, New Jersey, New York City, or Philadelphia office. This position involves reviewing complex C corp., S corp., and partnership income tax returns, strategic planning for clients, managing multiple engagements, identifying tax planning opportunities, and serving in professional development programs.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing complex C corp., S corp. and partnership income tax returns
- Strategic planning for clients including advising on federal and state compliance issues
- Managing multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines
- Identifying tax planning opportunities
- Conducting constructive discussions with team members on their evaluations and providing counsel accordingly
- Serving in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader
- Serving as a mentor and coach to junior staff
- Seeking and developing new clients/business
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA license or Masters of Science in Taxation
- 8+ years of prior experience working in the tax department of a public accounting, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff
- Excellent analytical and technical tax skills
- Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment
- Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the Firm well to client’s management
- Excellent analytical, organizational, project management skills, and strong attention to detail
- Ability to travel as needed

Pay
The compensation range for this position is $135,000 – $250,000. In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance.
Schedule
This position is full-time and requires some travel as needed.
