About the role

The Regional Coordinator leads a team of recovery specialists, senior lead case managers, and lead case managers. Their primary goals are to improve clinical linkages from one level of care to another, provide holistic services to maximize client success, decrease ineffective use of acute treatment services, ensure successful client treatment outcomes, and ensure clients receive quality treatment services in appropriate settings.

Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of Recovery Specialists, including providing individual supervision, weekly or biweekly group supervision, orientation, on-going training, and feedback to staff.
  • Review and approve all case managers' requests for client discharge or transfer.
  • Administer administrative duties such as planning and implementing program changes, supporting the GA Behavioral Health and GAICM program, participating in hiring processes, liaising with Recovery Supports Program, and monitoring staff activity and productivity.
  • Carry a small caseload of clients and transport clients in their own vehicle.
  • Ensure confidentiality of client protected health information and adhere to HIPAA policies.
  • Use a GPS-based app to track business-related driving.
  • Perform other tasks as required to support business operations.

Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage staff assigned, including establishing and maintaining a working environment conducive to positive morale and teamwork.
  • Recruit and hire qualified employees, provide orientation and on-the-job training, establish short and long-term goals, and ensure clear communication of expectations.
  • Oversee daily responsibilities of direct reports to ensure adherence to ABH® policies and procedures and meeting departmental goals.
  • Provide year-round feedback, counseling, coaching, and training resources to employees.
  • Refer performance concerns/issues to HR for advice, next steps, and appropriate action.
  • Complete timely staff performance evaluations, outlining goals/expectations, securing approvals, and processing paperwork.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree required; Clinical license desired; 4+ years of demonstrated working experience working with behavioral health clients preferred; at least one year in a supervisory capacity.
  • Mastery of principles and practices involved in delivering outreach based case management services to a behavioral health population with primary disorders related to substance abuse.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise staff for effective and efficient service delivery; demonstrated leadership, organization, and planning skills.
  • Valid Connecticut driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000/$100,000.
  • Willingness to provide community-based services with significant travel, respond to company cell phone during regular work hours, and potentially provide after-hours cell phone coverage.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to work on multiple tasks, and meet deadlines; strong PC skills with demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Package (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook), internet, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
