ICF-IID Aide/Certified Nurse Aide (CNA): Weekend Doubles, 7a

About the role

Responsibilities

• Answers signal lights and bells to determine resident needs
• Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care
• Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding
• Aids resident with range of motion exercises
• Moves residents to wheelchair or activity areas
• Provides personal care and comfort
• Assists with ambulation for short distances within the facility
• Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output
• Communicates to nursing team about changes in residents' clinical condition
• Implements behavior intervention plans as written
• Reports and responds to extreme behaviors according to regulations and policies
• Completes behavior reports per shift
• Completes maintenance work orders
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Maintain current certification as a CNA or DDCA
• Obtain and maintain MANDT certification
• Obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification
• Experience supporting persons with intellectual disabilities preferred
• Maintain a working email and phone number for employer communication
• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergencies
• Effective communication skills with residents and their families, and facility staff
• Patience and composure
• Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing)
• Physical abilities: 20-80% sedentary, 20% light work, 20-80% heavy/hard work

Schedule

Available Day, Evening & Night Shifts: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, 11:00 pm - 7:30 am
Available Double Weekend Shifts: Saturday & Sunday; 7:00 am - 11:30 pm
