Ice Resurfacer Driver - Part-Time Variable Hour

About the Role

Responsible for assisting arena personnel in maintaining the facility and operations of the Arena; providing a safe, clean, and friendly environment for guests and patrons. Direct work of others in the absence of onsite Arena Manager. Operate ice resurfacers, enforce policies, and provide direction in case of emergency. Handle opening and closing of the arena.

Responsibilities

• General building maintenance, building cleanliness, ice resurfacer operations, game operations, and ice maintenance.
• Supervise and monitor activities at the arenas, including open skating, hockey leagues, skating lessons, and other events.
• Monitor activities throughout the facility to ensure smooth operation.
• Provide assistance to participants and spectators as necessary.
• Supervise and provide work direction to seasonal staff if needed.
• Schedule events to be held at the arena(s).
• Monitor and assist with keeping the exterior of the building clean.
• Perform skate sharpening when needed.
• Perform other duties consistent with the tasks of the position as assigned by the City.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Good driving record.
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, sit, crouch, twist, push, pull, bend, stoop, squat, and lift.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and customer-focused.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to work weekdays, weekends, days, and evenings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous driving and/or arena experience desired.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 4:00 p.m. - Midnight (latest) and weekends 5:30 a.m. - Midnight (latest). End time each night depends on rentals.

Pay

$19.15 - $21.70 hourly, depending on qualifications.
