About the Role
The Ice Crew Attendant will be a member of a professional, high-energy ice maintenance team. Team members will be athletic, experienced skaters interested in ice maintenance and comfortable on camera in a high-energy hockey environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with maintenance of ice (shoveling, moving nets, etc.) and operating associated equipment as required.
- Skate on the ice to remove snow and ice build-up during media timeouts.
- Assist ice resurfacer drivers by moving hockey nets during and after games.
- Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.
Requirements
- Experience working in an ice rink setting in front of large crowds preferred.
- Proficient ice skater.
- Outgoing personality, good energy, positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, professionalism, poise, strong communication abilities, strong work ethic, and reliability.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work irregular hours, various shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Demonstrate dependability and reliability by being punctual, working assigned and varying shifts, and completing responsibilities in a timely manner.
Physical Demands and Working Environment
- Stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle objects and office tools, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Exposure to a rink/arena environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
