About the Fellowship

The ICANN88 Fellowship is 100% free to apply for and provides total financial support for selected participants.

• Round-trip Flights: Full economy airfare to and from Lisbon, Portugal.
• Accommodation: Hotel stay booked directly by ICANN for the duration of the event (13–18 March 2027).
• Daily Stipend: A cash stipend (up to USD $500) to cover local meals, transport, and daily expenses.
• Visa Reimbursement: Coverage of visa processing costs up to USD $200.

Eligibility for Indian Applicants

Candidates from India across all sectors (government, civil society, academia, tech industry, and legal background) are eligible to apply.

• Age: Must be at least 21 years old at the time of application.
• Passport: Must hold a valid Indian passport prior to travel booking.
• Schengen Visa: Indian passport holders will need a Schengen Short-Stay Visa for Portugal. ICANN provides an official invitation letter to support your visa application.
