About the role
As a Junior Consultant – SAP IBP (AMS), you will join our dedicated support team in India to deliver high-quality incident resolution, daily application maintenance, and system monitoring for SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP). You will work closely with cross-functional support teams to ensure business continuity, efficient ticket lifecycle management, and reliable background process execution.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, triage, and resolve basic to mid-level SAP IBP technical and functional incidents within defined SLA guidelines.
- Record, update, and manage ticket lifecycles accurately in designated tracking tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy).
- Monitor scheduled IBP batch jobs, data integration tasks (CPI-DS / SDI), and background planning runs to ensure successful execution and timely completion.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate job failures promptly.
- Work flexibly across rotational shift schedules to provide continuous application support coverage for global client operations.
- Assist with regular system health checks, routine master data maintenance support, and minor configuration updates/enhancements as guided by senior consultants.
- Interact with business end-users and key stakeholders to clarify reported issues, gather issue details, and provide status updates or guidance on standard SAP IBP functionality.
- Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), knowledge base articles, and incident resolution logs to support continuous team learning and efficiency.
Requirements
- Any Graduate.
- 3-6 years of hands-on experience in SAP application support/AMS environments, with a primary focus on SAP IBP (Demand, Response & Supply, or S&OP modules).
- Good foundational understanding of core SAP IBP concepts, standard planning view operations, data integration flows (CI-DS/SDI), and basic supply chain planning processes.
- Practical experience in monitoring SAP background jobs, error log analysis, and basic troubleshooting of failed data interface runs.
- Hands-on exposure to standard IT service management (ITSM) and ticket tracking platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, or similar tools).
- Willingness and capability to work in rotational shifts to support global business coverage.
- Strong analytical problem-solving ability, clear written and verbal communication in English, and a customer-centric support mindset.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced team environment, manage multiple support priorities effectively, and take ownership of daily support deliverables.
