IBM Maximo Developer

ECLARO's client is America's largest state power organization and a national leader in energy efficiency and clean-energy technology. This role supports a Maximo Application Suite (MAS) migration and software-optimization project, working closely with IT subject-matter experts and business stakeholders to provide functional and technical guidance.

About the role

You will design, develop, and maintain application solutions on Maximo 7.6.x / MAS, with a focus on migrating from on-premises to cloud (SaaS) using MAS 8/9. The position involves production support, issue resolution, and collaboration with implementation partners, IBM support, middleware teams, and infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support Maximo 7.6.x / MAS solutions, including Manage, Spatial, and Mobile modules.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Provide production support, troubleshoot system performance, availability, and functionality issues.
• Perform Maximo configurations: Database Configuration, Escalations, Cron Tasks, Domains, Conditional Expression Manager.
• Develop Java customizations and Automation Scripts.
• Integrate Maximo with external applications such as SAP and Ariba.
• Work with middleware and infrastructure teams to resolve technical issues.
• Design and develop BIRT reports.
• Write SQL scripts for on-demand data extracts.
• Monitor system performance metrics and recommend corrective/preventative actions.
• Conduct implementation of enhancements or changes involving custom design, optional software, and third-party products.
• Participate in configuration, change management, and testing activities.
• Deploy solutions to the operational production environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Six years of experience supporting applications like Maximo or Datasplice.
• Proficient with Windows Server 2003/2008/2012 and hands-on understanding of operating systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, user rights management, NTFS permissions, security configuration, group policy management, and backup systems.
• Experience with relational databases, Microsoft SQL Server, and SQL scripting.
• Technical knowledge of all phases of software implementation and support.
• Ability to debug systems and software, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and monitor performance metrics.
• Experience as an active team member in system-wide or cross-functional technology projects.
