Responsibilities

• Foster a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and accountable relationship with families and the treatment team.
• Provide mobile delivery of clinical services as defined by the program description, best practice standards, and in full compliance with licensure standards.
• Meet with the child, family, school staff, and other involved persons to develop treatment goals, objectives, and interventions that are developmentally appropriate, strengths-based, and fit the particular needs of the child and family.
• Participate as a member of the treatment team by providing service directly to the child and/or family in the home, school, or other community programs or settings.
• Complete Functional Behavior Assessments and utilize data for the purpose of progress monitoring and revision of treatment interventions.
• Monitor data and implementation to assess the effectiveness of behavior intervention strategies to address challenging behaviors.
• Coordinate the overall clinical direction of treatment for the children assigned to caseload, in collaboration with family and other treatment professionals.
• Serve as a resource to the child, family, treatment team, school, and Behavioral Health Technicians in crisis and problem situations to develop a crisis plan and resolution.
• Collaborate with schools, families, funding source representatives, and internal/external resources as appropriate.
• Provide clinical supervision for the assigned Behavioral Health Technicians, providing guidance and support in delivery of services.
• Work cooperatively with school staff to promote positive behavior by providing professional development that targets research, strategies, and modeling evidence-based practices to support teachers in their implementation or positive behavior support in their classrooms.
• Conduct quality individual and family therapy, with a clinically appropriate balance between both modalities.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation, including but not limited to progress notes, treatment plans, assessments, and discharge summaries.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

• Possess one of the following sets of credentials:
• A minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in providing mental health direct services to children, youth, or young adults and a graduate degree with at least nine credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work, or counseling from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation;
• Completion of a clinical or mental health direct service practicum and have a graduate degree with at least nine credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work, education, counseling, or a related field from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Experience/Knowledge/Skills:

• At least 1 year providing mental health services to children, youth, and young adults.
• Strong communication and follow-up skills.
• Excellent time management and organization skills.
• Comfortable working in Electronic Health Record systems.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to utilize collaborative, team-oriented approaches to treatment.
• Knowledge and understanding of CASSP Principles.
• Understanding of cognitive-behavioral theory and clinical application.
• Understanding of child and family development and family systems.
• Experience with crisis intervention and crisis management.
• Knowledge of DSM-V.
• Brief knowledge/understanding of common psychotropic medications.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
