About The Role
What if your deep knowledge of identity systems and access-control logic could directly strengthen the security posture of organizations at scale? We're looking for an experienced IAM Solutions Engineer to evaluate identity workflows, authentication mechanisms, and permission structures — identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement across complex environments. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for seasoned IAM professionals who can work independently, think critically, and deliver clear, actionable findings.
What You'll Do
- Review end-to-end identity workflows covering authentication and authorization logic
- Analyze access-control policies for least-privilege alignment and misconfigurations
- Validate SSO, MFA, federated identity, and directory integrations across platforms
- Identify security gaps in privilege provisioning and identity lifecycle management
- Document permission structures in clear, structured, and actionable formats
- Support recurring IAM reviews across multiple identity platforms and environments
- Surface improvement recommendations grounded in industry best practices
Must-Have
- Hands-on experience with IAM platforms, identity protocols, and access-control models
- Strong understanding of authentication flows — SAML, OIDC, and OAuth
- Ability to evaluate complex permission structures and translate findings into clear documentation
- Methodical, detail-oriented approach with strong independent judgment
- Comfortable working asynchronously and delivering quality work without close supervision
Nice To Have
- Experience designing or implementing enterprise IAM solutions
- Familiarity with zero-trust architecture principles and deployment patterns
- Background in security auditing, compliance frameworks, or identity governance
