Description Associate IAM Operations Analyst Location: Remote (Local candidates preferred for occasional onsite collaboration) Duration: 12-Month Contract Overview We are seeking an Associate IAM Operations Analyst to join a growing Identity & Access Management (IAM) Operations team. This role supports day-to-day identity lifecycle activities, access requests, user provisioning and deprovisioning, operational support, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their IAM, Security, or IT Operations career who is passionate about cybersecurity, enjoys helping end users, and wants to grow into a more technical identity and security-focused role. The team places a strong emphasis on automation, process improvement, and operational excellence. While technical skills are important, attitude, curiosity, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset are equally critical. What You'll Do Process and support user access requestsParticipate in identity lifecycle management activities (new hires, transfers, and terminations)Investigate and resolve IAM-related support ticketsFollow documented procedures and knowledge articles to troubleshoot issuesEscalate complex issues when necessary while ensuring proper documentationMaintain accurate ticket notes, audit evidence, and operational recordsMonitor support queues and prioritize work effectivelyIdentify recurring issues and recommend process improvementsPartner with engineering teams to help drive automation opportunitiesCollaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure secure and timely access management What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Basic understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM) conceptsGeneral knowledge of IT Security principlesStrong customer service and communication skillsExperience working in a ticket-driven support environmentExperience using ServiceNow or a similar ticketing platformAbility to write basic SQL queries or leverage tools such as Microsoft Copilot to assist with query creationStrong documentation and organizational skillsAbility to troubleshoot issues and follow established processes Desired Qualities Passion for cybersecurity, identity management, or IT operationsGrowth mindset and eagerness to learn new technologiesAbility to identify patterns and recurring issues rather than simply resolving individual ticketsInterest in automation and process optimizationHigh level of ownership, accountability, and dependabilityStrong attention to detailComfortable working in a structured operational environmentCollaborative team player who works well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Preferred Experience Exposure to one or more of the following is highly desirable: Active DirectoryMicrosoft Entra ID (Azure AD)Identity & Access Management platformsAccess provisioning and governanceSecurity operations or IT supportEnterprise application supportAutomation and workflow improvement initiativesScripting or basic reporting/queryingAgile or Scrum environments What Success Looks Like Within The First Year, You Will Independently manage common IAM operational tasksBuild expertise in identity lifecycle and access management processesDevelop a strong understanding of enterprise security and compliance requirementsConsistently deliver high-quality support and documentationContribute ideas that improve efficiency and reduce manual workBecome a trusted operational partner for users and internal teams Ideal Background This position is ideal for someone with experience in IT support, service desk, systems administration, security operations, or IAM administration who is looking to further develop their career within cybersecurity and identity management. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Appleton, WI. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
