Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Act as Crew Foreman on construction crew and direct departmental team to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Delegate and outline the tasks involved in the project and coordinate internal resources to ensure streamlined execution of projects.
  • Ensures all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Effectively communicates Pre-Job / JIS / Job Goals to internal and external customers.
  • Works with operations to effectively support equipment needs.
  • Delivers all reporting deliverables and data updates for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Creates and maintains all project documentation.
  • Follows and enforces the Company required safe work practices and procedures at all times.
  • Participates in JSA and uses all necessary steps to complete tasks safely and ensures the safety of others working in the area.
  • Communicates with all levels of management and crew to effectively present any needs and changes.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Complexity, Decision-Making, Problem Solving

  • Oversees a team to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
  • Delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints.
  • Builds and maintains relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus, and achieve objectives.
  • Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate).
  • Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.
  • Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
  • Confidence to STOP work when a problem is immediately identified.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Knowledge of construction job sites and project plans.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to adhere to a written method or procedure.
  • Confidence to STOP work when a problem is immediately identified.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite of products, including email.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical documents, preferred.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must be able to learn, understand and apply new Organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email communication.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
