IA Engineer

About the Role

As a Cloud Security Architect, you'll guide the development of cloud-based security architectures for critical Intelligence Community (IC) systems. You’ll evaluate and support processes to ensure IT systems meet IA and security requirements, assist in defining risk thresholds, and analyze compliance. Your expertise will help codify strategic objectives into policies and procedures, and you’ll recommend tools to address the Risk Management Framework (RMF). This role leverages the latest cloud technologies to secure mission-critical applications while collaborating with leading cloud security experts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate security documentation, including system security plans, contingency plans, security procedures, and continuity of operations plans.
• Conduct cloud security architecture evaluations, provide guidance, and troubleshoot issues.
• Apply the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to ensure compliance with security requirements.
• Work in an Agile development environment to support secure system development.
• Assist in defining organizational state and risk thresholds and assess compliance.
• Evaluate software applications and tools to ensure adherence to software assurance best practices.
• Recommend tools and capabilities based on research and knowledge of on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources.

Requirements

• Experience developing and evaluating security documentation.
• Experience with cloud security architecture evaluations, guidance, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Security+, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (preferred but not mandatory if experience is sufficient).

Skills

• Interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, engineers, and managers.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and cloud technologies (preferred).

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD), determined by factors including location, education, skills, experience, and contract requirements.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with flexibility for remote, hybrid, or onsite work, depending on role needs and leadership expectations.
