I&E Technician - Level 1
About the role
As a Technician – Electronic Level 1 Technician here at Solstice, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and operational efficiency of our equipment and systems. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining high standards of safety and performance in our operations. You will report directly to our I/E Supervisor, and you’ll work out of our Metropolis, IL location.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to Site Safety Protocols and Regulations to maintain a safe working environment
- Assist in performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance
- Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize equipment breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure smooth operations
- Perform electronic assembly tasks according to specifications
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electronic components and systems
- Ensure the quality and functionality of electronic products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of instrumentation and electrical
- Experience with troubleshooting and repair of industrial electrical equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Electrical Instrumentation Certification and/or 1-2 years industrial/electrical experience
- Commitment to Safety
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge and experience in working with SAP
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure
