Hypersonic Engineer

About the role

The Hypersonic Engineer is responsible for developing and testing advanced hypersonic propulsion systems. This role requires expertise in aerodynamics, materials science, and computational fluid dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze hypersonic vehicle configurations
• Develop and optimize propulsion systems for high-speed flight
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate propulsion systems into vehicle designs
• Conduct simulations and experiments to validate system performance
• Write technical reports and present findings to stakeholders

Requirements

• PhD in Aerospace Engineering or related field
• At least 3 years of relevant industry experience
• Experience with computational fluid dynamics software
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics and aerodynamics
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in MATLAB or similar simulation tools
• Knowledge of rocket propulsion systems

Skills

• Advanced knowledge of aerospace engineering principles
• Experience with experimental design and data analysis
• Strong programming skills in Python or C++
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Pay

Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
