Responsibilities

  • Safety is E2 Optics' top priority. Follow all safe work practices and adhere to company and client policies.
  • Promote our Core Values to foster a family-centric culture.
  • Prepare complete cost estimates for projects.
  • Monitor program of work to ensure estimates are completed on time.
  • Participate in estimate review processes with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Aid construction personnel throughout the project lifecycle in tracking and understanding the basis of cost estimates.
  • Complete final cost estimates, adding all necessary labor, equipment, material data, pricing documentation, overhead, and profit margins.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of contract documents and specifications to determine overall project requirements.
  • Take ownership of medium to large size estimates or components of larger estimates and be accountable for their specific work scope.
  • Review current material and construction equipment pricing and ensure bid validity and price escalation meet project needs.
  • Support estimating efforts across multiple office locations and maintain data in E2 systems.
  • Read and understand blueprints.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar field preferred; a combination of relevant education and experience considered.
  • RCDD certification required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience estimating large scale HYPERSCALE data center projects, including mission-critical data centers and colocation facilities.
  • Structured Cabling/Low Voltage industry experience required.
  • Bluebeam expertise is required.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD/BIM360 is preferred.
  • Proven understanding of the intricacies of working in the Hyperscale market, including variations in design between major hyperscale customer infrastructure platforms.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project).
  • Proven ability to design, engineer, estimate, and develop written and graphic representations of the company's proposed solutions using provided software resources.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.
  • Impeccable problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated detail orientation.
  • Demonstrated and effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to work in teams and foster confidence in all.
  • Proven estimating skills and understanding of conceptual estimating skillset.
  • Ability to independently develop accurate, detailed, complete estimates.

Qualifications
