About the role

The Hyperbaric Technician position at Virginia Mason Medical Center involves setting up the hyperbaric chamber, ensuring safety protocols are followed, monitoring patients, assisting with patient preparation, and documenting care. Responsibilities

• Meticulously set up the hyperbaric chamber before each treatment session
• Ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed and equipment is fully functional
• Maintain a sterile environment and monitor patients within the hyperbaric environment
• Aid in patient preparation and documentation
• Assist with emergency procedures and address patient concerns
• Operate hyperbaric equipment and understand hyperbaric medicine principles
• Show exceptional attention to detail and a compassionate approach to patient care

Requirements

• Recent medical training as an EMT, Corpsman, Medic, or LPN
• Strong interpersonal skills and physical strength to move and lift patients and equipment
• Certification of physical ability to perform essential duties without hazard to self or others
• A High School Diploma or GED
