Hygienist (NHSC Loan Repayment & Sign on bonus)

Responsibilities

• Captures patient intake and prepares for exam functions.
• Maintains organizational skills and prioritizes tasks to manage patient flow.
• Prepares the dental operatory for specific procedures.
• Performs adult and pediatric prophylaxis.
• Takes patient’s vital signs and radiographs as needed, including panorex, whole mouth series, bitewings, periapical, or occlusal radiographs.
• Conducts preliminary dental decay exams, charts DMF teeth, and assesses OHI.
• Completes root planing and scaling procedures, applies topical fluoride, applies sealants, and conducts dental recall procedures for adults and children.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ADA-accredited dental hygiene school and licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist by the Ohio Board of Dental Examiners.
• A general operator’s license in Radiology is required or must be obtained within 6 months.
• One to two years of dental experience preferred.
