Hygiene Assistant
About the role
As a Hygiene Assistant, you'll collaborate with our practice team to provide outstanding clinical support, ensuring patients receive the care they need. You'll prepare patients for treatment, assist the hygienist/dentist in restorative procedures, and maintain a high standard of care and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to the dental hygienist to prepare the room, seat patients, and take proper documentation of the patients visit
- Able to record and review patients' health history, make chart entries under the direction of the Doctor or hygienist, and assure completion of all necessary forms and signatures needed
- Educate patients on their treatment plans as well as maintaining their oral health
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment possessing excellent interpersonal skills such as establishing positive relationships with our team and patients
- Able to communicate professionally both orally and in writing with a service-oriented approach
Requirements
- Dental Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training
- 1-5 years of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
- Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific)
- Current CPR certification
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- A commitment to delivering exceptional service and patient education

Schedule
Monday: 7:45am-5:00pm
Tuesday: 7:45am-7:00pm
Wednesday: 7:45am-7:00pm
Thursday: 7:45am-5:00pm
Every other Friday: 7:45am-2:00pm
Pay
Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications
Skills
- Dental Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training
