Hygiene Assistant

Dental Care of Waukesha is seeking a Hygiene Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for those with little to no dental experience, offering comprehensive on-the-job training and future career growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, ensuring patient comfort and providing appropriate education.
• Conduct a thorough review of the patient’s health history to ensure quality care.
• Provide superior assistance to supported hygienists during various procedures, adhering to the state dental practice act.
• Assist with setting up treatment rooms, stocking and restocking instruments and supplies.
• Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and following OSHA & CDC recommendations.
• Partner with providers and the team to optimize office workflow.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED Equivalent.
• Team Player with excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds and work in a fast-paced customer-focused environment.
• Prolonged periods sitting and standing.
• Availability to attend virtual training sessions periodically throughout the year.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training and additional certification may be required based on state requirements.
