Hydro Vac Truck Operator
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced CDL Driver to operate a vacuum truck for hydro‑excavation and storm‑drain cleaning projects. The position involves driving to and from job sites, operating equipment, and supporting field operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety and efficiency. The role is primarily local, allowing drivers to return home daily, though work assignments, hours, and locations may vary based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Drive to and from job sites safely and efficiently.
- Operate a vacuum truck for hydro‑excavation and storm‑drain cleaning.
- Support field operations and maintain equipment readiness.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company standards.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all traffic regulations.
- Transport reliable personal vehicle to the shop in Pleasant Grove.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, and standing for long periods outdoors.
- Occasionally work night shifts as required.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A or B driver's license with a clean record (no DUIs).
- Prior experience operating commercial vehicles, preferably in construction or utility environments.
- Hydrovac (vacuum truck) experience is preferred.
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
- Reliable transportation to the Pleasant Grove shop.
- Strong safety orientation and ability to follow safety procedures.
- Physical ability to meet job demands (lifting, walking, climbing, standing outdoors for extended periods).
- Willingness to work occasional night shifts.
- Full‑time availability.
Pay
Salary: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour (full‑time).
Schedule
Primarily local travel with daily return home. Work assignments, hours, and locations may vary based on business needs.
