Specific Responsibilities
- Function as a Sub-Discipline Lead or Deputy Discipline Lead on small to large Alternative Delivery (AD) projects, responsible for the work of the technical group.
- Plan, direct, and supervise the work of a design team requiring organization of manpower and financial accountability.
- Lead other engineers and design personnel in technical excellence and growth.
- Provides technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses.
- Ensures compliance of design with all applicable codes and regulations, providing the seal and signature of the professional engineer when required by statute or contract.
- Prepares material/equipment technical specifications.
- Coordinate subconsultant work as necessary.
- Maintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies.
- Determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule. May assist with other administrative and technical duties.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications
- Extensive Hydrologic and Hydraulic Design experience on AD Transportation Projects in the South Region.
- Experience successfully serving as a Discipline Lead, Sub-Discipline Lead, or Deputy Discipline Lead on Projects of varying size and complexity.
- Experience acting as a client liaison.
- Prominent track record of delivering Drainage designs for municipalities & DOT’s throughout the South Region.
- Strong leadership skills.
Preferred Education/Experience
- Accredited degree in Civil Engineering, Masters is a plus but not required.
- Minimum of 10-15+ years of related work experience.
- PE License Required.
Skills/Competencies
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Experience in supervising and hiring staff.
- OpenRoads Designer (ORD) Drainage & other commonly used H&H design software.
- Must be able to drive a car and have own transportation.
- Lead small to large Civil projects.
- Support client relations management activities.
Compensation Range
$124,726.29 - $142,544.33
