About the Role
Assemble, disassemble, and repair pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves. Diagnose problems, identify parts needed for repair, and test all items in both shop and field environments.
Responsibilities
- Repair pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves.
- Tear down pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves for repair.
- Identify parts needed for repair and request new parts and materials as necessary.
- Build new pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves.
- Assist in the machine shop as needed.
- Test completed pumps, motors, valves, and cylinders according to written procedures.
- Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
- Maintain records of parts and materials needed.
- Keep a neat and orderly shop.
- Hone and repair barrels.
- Provide assistance in the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and controls.
- Maintain test stands and equipment in accordance with ISO procedures.
- Understand and abide by environmental policies.
- Perform welding as needed.
- Use cranes and other heavy and light machines and equipment.
- Keep management apprised of work and backlog.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED/Vocational School education.
- Three years of mechanic experience; hydraulic experience preferred.
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to pay attention to detail.
- Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.
- Ability to accept responsibility and account for actions.
- Ability to make decisions while following company procedures.
- Certified welder (optional).
