Hybrid Senior or Lead Financial Analyst (Corporate Accounting)
This posting is for a financial analyst position within corporate accounting, open at either the Senior or Lead level depending on experience. The role will be involved in monthly close as well as quarterly and annual financial reporting. Ideal candidates will have experience in the monthly close process and some audit experience. Position is based in Columbus, Ohio with a hybrid schedule (3 days/week in office).
About the Role
The Financial Analyst provides value-added financial services to both internal and external customers. Responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting financial reporting proposals, preparing analytical studies on financial data, developing comprehensive financial reports, and providing expertise to manage financial matters.
Responsibilities
- Identifies and understands issues, problems, and opportunities; compares data from different sources to draw conclusions; uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing solutions.
- Compiles, organizes, and formats data, including qualitative analysis required for internal and external reporting. Identifies and researches reporting issues, provides recommendations, and assists with adoption of new reporting requirements.
- Recognizes situations where the regulatory framework and rate case outcomes drive business; supports regulatory initiatives by gathering data, preparing regulatory schedules, pro-forma calculations, testimony, and data requests; assists with review and analysis of regulatory documents.
- Applies technical knowledge to processes, procedures, and tasks; understands terminology and developments.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of financial statements, metrics, and key strategic business initiatives; utilizes economic and industry data as it relates to job responsibilities.
- Understands the operating plan and role within the Finance & Accounting (F&A) organization; collaboratively develops solutions between corporate and business units.
- Documents work fully and accurately to maintain commitment to quality.
- Identifies, analyzes, and improves existing processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness, meeting new goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Four-year degree in a business discipline.
- Four or more years of experience in finance, accounting, regulatory, or a related field; preference for experience in monthly close process and some audit experience.
- Multiple functional experience.
- Knowledge of PC applications.
- Understanding of how the company generates revenue and how financial statement changes impact customer bills and net income per earnings per share (NI EPS).

Pay
Salary range: $82,200.00 - $123,200.00. The salary offered will be based on several factors including skills, job-related knowledge, relevant experience, and internal pay equity.
Schedule
Hybrid schedule requiring 3 days per week in the Columbus, Ohio office.
