Hybrid Podding Technician/Inspector
About the role
As the Hybrid Technician / Inspector for Rolls-Royce, you will review related paperwork and build cards to ensure that workmanship meets acceptable standards and documentation is complete and accurate. You will advocate and promote company policies that include, but are not limited to, product safety, safe work practices, OSHA, EPA, Federal, State, and Local policies/regulations. You will have knowledge of disassembly, repair and re-assembly of Rolls-Royce gas turbine engines and components.
Working Pattern & Location
Onsite Monday – Thursday (6:30am – 5pm working 10-hour shifts) in Savannah, GA.
What you will be doing
- Operating precision tools and equipment to perform accurate dimensions without error and comply with work scope instructions as directed by our Operations and Engineering Groups
- Conducting audits of maintenance documentation for accuracy and completion on all maintenance, prior to approval for engine dispatch
- Accessing and using engine data materials such as Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Engine Maintenance Manual (EMM), and Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) etc
- Understanding, interpreting and applying Service Bulletins, FAA Advisory Directives and Technical Variances when applicable
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings
- Lifting engine components weighing up to approximately 50 pounds and interfacing with customers as required
- Leading capacity when directed by our operations and engineering groups
Basic requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 3+ years of aircraft maintenance, repair, and/or overhaul experience, OR Associate's degree with 2+ years of aircraft maintenance, repair, and/or overhaul
- FAA Airframe & Power Plant License
- This position is a FAA designated safety-sensitive position. Selected candidate must successfully complete a FAA/DOT pre-employment background check, a FAA/DOT drug screen that tests for the presence of Marijuana, Cocaine, Opiates, Phencyclidine and Amphetamines (or metabolites of those drugs) and comply with FAA-mandated rules on drug and alcohol use
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Ability to pass an FAA required eye exam
- Ability to lift engine components weighing up to approximately 50 pounds
Preferred requirements
- Prior customer relations experience
- Engine or Aircraft logbook familiarity
- Understanding of basic to intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel functionality
Pay
$29.65 – $44.48 per hour
