About the role
We're seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team as a Hybrid Lead Provider, supporting both our Pittsfield urgent care clinic and virtual urgent care operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care by conducting health assessments, physical exams, and reviewing medical histories.
- Assess patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and obtaining and updating medical histories.
- Determine abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests and interpreting results.
- Perform therapeutic procedures including injections, immunizations, suturing, and management of wounds and infections.
- Deliver patient-focused care through both in-person and telemedicine visits, treating a broad range of urgent care illnesses and injuries.
- Lead clinical operations and team development by acting as a clinical leader for providers and clinic staff, mentoring and supporting new graduate providers, and fostering a collaborative, accountable, and patient-centered clinic culture.
- Support virtual care and access by helping to load-balance patient volume between in-clinic and telemedicine services, delivering high-quality virtual urgent care visits, and adapting care delivery appropriately across both onsite and remote settings.
- Educate and empower patients by counseling them on therapeutic regimens, wellness, preventative care, family planning, and health maintenance.
Requirements
- Master’s degree and certification by Physician Assistant (PA) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certifying body.
- Maintain a DEA license in Massachusetts with no restrictions.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, ambulatory care, and/or telemedicine.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with a passion for mentorship and team development.
- Comfortable balancing both onsite and remote clinical responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Reside in or near Western Massachusetts and be able to reliably commute to Pittsfield, MA for onsite clinical shifts.
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule consisting of onsite urgent care shifts and remote virtual urgent care coverage.
