Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer

About the role

Valiant Solutions is seeking a Top Secret Cleared Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will support innovative design, engineering, procurement, implementation, operations, sustainment and disposal of IT services on multiple networks and security domains.

Responsibilities

• Supports OpenShift operators and frameworks including Crossplane, Kyverno, RedHat GitOps.
• Deploys OpenShift to new sites as they come online.
• Works with internal and external teams to understand integration requirements and scale existing platforms to meet them.
• Works with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and develop secure solutions.
• Supports data services including RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elastic Stack.
• Compiles detailed documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following certifications: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA.
• 5-8 years developer experience.
• Experience deploying and managing RedHat OpenShift in a cloud and/or vSphere environment.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services.
• Experience with Python, Shell scripting, Git.
• Experience with Linux distributions: RHEL/RHCOS, CentOS.
• Experience with CI/CD orchestration tools: GitLab CI, Jenkins.
• Experience with container technology: Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud Native Computing Foundation ecosystem in general.

Qualifications

Active Top Secret clearance required.
