Scope

Develop, maintain, and debug Python-based hardware validation scripts for board-level and interface-level testing.

Translate Hardware Requirements

Translate hardware requirements into executable test procedures and pass/fail criteria.

Interface and Lab Skills

• Hands-on with interfaces like UART/RS-422/RS-485, SPI, I2C, GPIO, Ethernet/CAN (as relevant)
• Comfortable using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, power supplies, and signal generators

Debugging Expectations

• Root-cause failures across script logic, firmware, and hardware bring-up issues
• Perform triage with clear issue isolation: test setup vs script defect vs hardware defect

Code Quality Expectations

• Write maintainable, modular Python with logging, retries/timeouts, and robust error handling
• Use version control (Git), code reviews, and basic CI/test execution workflows

Traceability and Documentation

• Maintain requirement-to-test traceability and test evidence (logs, captures, summaries)
• Document setup instructions, known failure modes, and reusable troubleshooting playbooks

Independence + Ownership

• Own test development from test design through lab execution and closure
• Proactively improve script reliability and test throughput
