HVIT Instrument Operator A - OIler

About the role

Under minimal supervision, the Instrument Operator A performs electrical assembly from drawings and specification sheets, inspects and processes units, fabricates and installs lead supports, accessories, and components, joins leads and bus bars, and assembles and installs bushings as required. Requires general knowledge of clearance and insulation requirements for various voltage classifications.

Responsibilities

• Product assembly to specifications
• Operating processing equipment
• Processing and oil-filling products
• Troubleshooting and repair of products
• Cleaning and preparing products for test and shipping
• Gathering parts for product assembly
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least two (2) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

Skills

• Strong work ethic
• Excellent attendance and quality of work record
• Able to read a tape measure
• Working understanding of math
• General knowledge of electrical clearances
• Assembly skills and able to work with tools
