HVACR Technician
About the role
The HVACR Technician plays a critical role in minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring customers' operations run efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working independently while representing the company with professionalism and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment including walk-in coolers/freezers, reach-ins, ice machines, rooftop units, split systems, and exhaust/make-up air systems
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity
- Install, replace, and commission HVAC and refrigeration systems as needed
- Accurately document service calls, parts used, labor hours, and customer interactions in company system
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding equipment issues, repair recommendations, and preventative maintenance plans
- Manage truck inventory to ensure proper parts and tools are stocked
- Respond to emergency service calls in a timely and professional manner
- Represent the company with professionalism while delivering high-quality customer service
- Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development opportunities
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC and refrigeration service (preferred)
- EPA Universal Certification required
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical diagnostics, airflow systems, and mechanical troubleshooting
- Experience working on commercial kitchen equipment is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record required
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs. and work in varying indoor / outdoor conditions
- Ability to climb ladders, work from heights, and crawl in tight quarters
- Own industry standard hand tools
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation as needed

Pay
The advertised pay range for this position is $20-$45 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience level, technical certifications, skill set, and overall qualifications.
