Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVACR and commercial foodservice equipment, including walk-in coolers/freezers, rooftop units, reach-ins, ice machines, and prep tables.
- Inspect equipment for wear, leaks, electrical issues, and performance concerns.
- Clean, calibrate, and adjust system components to ensure optimal operation.
- Identify and document potential repair needs; escalate major issues to service technicians.
- Complete minor repairs and component replacements as needed during PM visits.
- Accurately document service work, inspection results, and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with EPA regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding equipment condition and preventative recommendations.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and PM inventory.
- Support service team as needed and participate in on-call rotation if required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of HVACR or commercial refrigeration experience preferred (maintenance-focused experience a plus).
- Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret basic schematics and technical manuals.
- Strong attention to detail with a preventative mindset.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work independently, manage routes, and complete scheduled PM calls efficiently.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, on ladders, and in varying weather conditions.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
Compensation Transparency
The advertised pay range for this position is $25-$38 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience level, technical certifications, skill set, and overall qualifications. Candidates with advanced expertise in commercial hot-side equipment may be considered toward the higher end of the range.
