HVAC Truck Based Tradesmen (union)

About the role

Johnson Controls, a leading Building Technology OEM for Healthcare, Manufacturing, Higher Education, K12 and Commercial Real Estate, seeks skilled HVAC Tradesmen to join their growing business.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical installations and drive results, mentored by peers and all other work coming under the labor agreement assigned by the Employer.
• Resolve troubleshooting and resolve service-related issues.
• Respond to basic warranty calls.
• Keep JCI, contractors, and the customer informed of job progress and issues as needed.
• Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility efficiency, including upselling opportunities.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

Requirements

• Adherence to the company Safety Program.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Familiarity with HVAC equipment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• A valid driver's license, with no major or frequent traffic violations.
• Willingness to join the UA of Plumbers and Pipefitters.

Benefits

Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role, but exceptional candidates may be considered beyond the stated range.

Pay

The Pay Range: $18.00-$20.00 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet.
