Responsibilities
- Complies with healthcare, federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
- Develops and implements departmental equipment procedures for power outages.
- Installs, inspects, maintains, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance on all heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems.
- Prepares the preventive maintenance schedule and produces reports.
- Captures and coordinates electrical equipment maintenance, installations, and modifications per all applicable codes and regulations.
- Aids in the operation and general maintenance of painting, plumbing, HVAC, locksmith, and alarm systems, overseeing essential repairs and other duties.
- Troubleshoots, tests, and repairs mechanical machinery, equipment, systems, and physical structures as scheduled or needed under limited guidance.
- Maintains work performed by outside contractors to ensure requirements are met and results are documented properly.
- Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Responds to emergency calls and takes call in accordance with facility needs.
- Provides on-the-job skills training.
- Supports and contributes to the development of new processes, products, or services.
Requirements
- Ability to identify equipment needs, parts and supplies, and maintain adequate inventory.
- Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English.
- Must have the ability to document records neatly and accurately.
- Ability to generate requisitions for materials and supplies.
- Ability to assign priority and teams in a timely manner.
- Ability to instruct others as per blueprints and work from sketches.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes.
- Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment.
- Basic Microsoft office computer skills.
Qualifications
- High School/Equivalent grad OR 5+ years experience
- Field Of Study N/A
- Work Experience 2+ years of healthcare maintenance experience
- 5+ years of hvac/r experience
- 3+ years commercial experience
