Responsibilities

• Complies with healthcare, federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
• Develops and implements departmental equipment procedures for power outages.
• Installs, inspects, maintains, repairs, and performs preventive maintenance on all heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems.
• Prepares the preventive maintenance schedule and produces reports.
• Captures and coordinates electrical equipment maintenance, installations, and modifications per all applicable codes and regulations.
• Aids in the operation and general maintenance of painting, plumbing, HVAC, locksmith, and alarm systems, overseeing essential repairs and other duties.
• Troubleshoots, tests, and repairs mechanical machinery, equipment, systems, and physical structures as scheduled or needed under limited guidance.
• Maintains work performed by outside contractors to ensure requirements are met and results are documented properly.
• Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Responds to emergency calls and takes call in accordance with facility needs.
• Provides on-the-job skills training.
• Supports and contributes to the development of new processes, products, or services.

Requirements

• Ability to identify equipment needs, parts and supplies, and maintain adequate inventory.
• Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English.
• Must have the ability to document records neatly and accurately.
• Ability to generate requisitions for materials and supplies.
• Ability to assign priority and teams in a timely manner.
• Ability to instruct others as per blueprints and work from sketches.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumes.
• Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment.
• Basic Microsoft office computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School/Equivalent grad OR 5+ years experience
• Field Of Study N/A
• Work Experience 2+ years of healthcare maintenance experience
• 5+ years of hvac/r experience
• 3+ years commercial experience
