About the role
Encore Boston Harbor is a luxury gaming resort featuring 671 hotel rooms, a six-acre park, and high-end amenities. The HVAC Technician - Refrigeration is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration, air conditioning, and heating systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Adheres to Encore Boston Harbor core values and department standards.
- Enforces internal policies, federal, and state laws, and regulations.
- Maintains guest and team member satisfaction.
- Communicates internally and externally.
- Services and repairs refrigeration as needed.
- Plans, maintains, and installs equipment as needed.
- Maintains working order of HVAC/R and Emergency Management Systems (EMS).
- Follows safety protocols and completes continuing education.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Age, Gaming and Certifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Requires registration or license from the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.
- Requires HVAC License, EPA 608 certification, Mass Refrigeration License, and OSHA 10 certification.
- Preferred OSHA 10 certification.
- Valid Massachusetts Driver License preferred.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of an apprenticeship, vocational/trade program, or college courses required.
- Minimum of 3 years of refrigeration experience required.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
- Knowledge of small and large commercial grade refrigerators and freezers required.
- Experience in hospitality or related fields preferred.
Physical Demands
- Regularly stands, walks, sits, reaches, uses hands, and manipulates objects.
- May lift up to 70 pounds and perform tasks involving standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Works in a noisy environment, including loud areas during operations.
- Works in various weather conditions and may be exposed to electrically or mechanically energized equipment.
