About the role

Tactica Solutions is seeking an HVAC Technician to provide field-level expertise for mechanical infrastructure planning and maintenance at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii. The role supplies accurate equipment-condition data to support reliable lifecycle, repair, and replacement decisions, and serves as the tactical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for HVAC, refrigeration, and plant equipment supporting Mechanical Sub-AMP development and execution.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the tactical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for HVAC, refrigeration, and plant equipment supporting Mechanical Sub-AMP development and execution.
• Perform detailed equipment-condition assessments and validate asset health information in the BUILDER Sustainment Management System (SMS).
• Align daily operations and preventive maintenance activities with lifecycle strategies established in the Mechanical Sub-AMP.
• Analyze failing equipment and provide technical recommendations to the Mechanical Engineer regarding repair-versus-replace decisions.
• Support lifecycle cost decisions for high-value mechanical assets through accurate field data and technical evaluations.
• Collaborate across multiple flights to coordinate oversight and execution of utility infrastructure projects.

Requirements

• HVAC certification from an institution accredited in the United States.
• At least 3 years of military facility/infrastructure experience.
• At least 5 years of HVAC experience.
• Satisfactory outcome of a background investigation for Tier 1 access is required.
• Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time; position may require typing and reading from a computer screen.
• Must have sufficient mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner.
• May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.

Pay

USD $61,000.00 - USD $76,000.00 per year.
