Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems district wide.
- Inspect equipment to insure it is operating efficiently.
- Perform routine HVAC, refrigeration, and freezer repairs and adjustments.
- Monitor HVAC through lap top (D.D.C.).
- Prioritize routine, work orders and requests.
- Adjust HVAC through lap-top (D.D.C.).
- Establish and maintain evening program.
- Work with contractors and review contract specifications.
- Make computer (D.D.C.) parameter changes.
- Review machinery specifications.
- Study the industry for newest equipment and controls.
- Perform emergency HVAC, refrigeration, and freezer repair and adjustments.
- Review blueprints.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Trade School courses in refrigeration and heating equivalent to up to two years of college
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to pass a post offer, pre-employment physical
- Must be able to pass a Colorado and Federal Bureau of Investigation background check
- Three (3) years of commercial HVAC experience within the last five (5) years
- Basic math, writing, communication, and microcomputer skills
- Working knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and trade standards
- Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing trades
- Operating knowledge of and experience with multi-meter and microcomputers
- Operating knowledge of pneumatic and refrigeration test equipment, D.D.C. software
- Laptop and D.D.C. troubleshooting required within 12 months after hire
- Valid Colorado driver license
- Universal Refridgeration Certification required at hire
- Boiler/RCFR required within 12 months of hire
Qualifications
Pay
Classified Grade Y, starting at $31.19 per hour, depending on recent relevant experience.
Schedule
8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, 12-month work schedule.
