HVAC Technician (M-F 7:30am-4:00pm / $3,000.00 Sign-on Bonus)

Essential Functions

• Diagnose and resolve plumbing related issues.
• General knowledge and backup of Plumbing skills.
• Respond to emergency service calls promptly.
• Read blueprint, building plans and schematics as required.
• Use a variety of power tools, hand tools and measuring devices/meters to perform job function.
• Perform preventive maintenance on various types plumbing equipment.
• Read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification, or installation of equipment.
• Monitor, identify and respond promptly to malfunctioning of equipment.
• Ensures contract performance in accordance with the direction and policies of Chimes DC.
• Performs quality work in accordance with safety procedures.
• Comply with priorities for the flow of work.
• Use technology for the completion of specified job duties.
• Use and care for equipment properly following all safety requirements.
• Attend work regularly according to assigned work schedule.
• Wear ID badge(s) at all times while performing work under this contract.
• Follow instructions.
• Attend and participate in all meetings and activities to facilitate professional development.
• Work cooperatively with others in a positive, enthusiastic, respectful, and courteous manner.
• Comply with all Agency policies and procedures and follow contract specifications.
• Pass and comply with rules for the site, security and safety guidelines, and Chimes District of Columbia Rules for the Workplace, and ensure others do the same.
• Assist as needed during Snow removal.

Physical Abilities Needed to Meet Work Demands

• Work requires good dexterity and physical condition.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Ability to go up and down stairs.
• Ability to get into and out of truck.
• Ability to reach above the head, bend, kneel, stoop.
• Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 75 lbs. regularly as needed.
• Ability to work in dusty spaces or adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to see details on the floor, above the head, or on surfaces.

Other requirements

• Valid driver’s license from state of residence and ability to drive.
• License must have been valid for at least 3 years.
• Acceptable driving record as determined by Agency’s insurance carrier and by Chimes DC policies and procedures.
