HVAC Technician - Kansas City, MO

About the role

Velociti Rail is a leading supplier of locomotive HVAC repairs to major railroads. We are seeking a mid-level Railroad Air Conditioning HVAC Technician for our facility in Kansas City, MO. The position is full‑time, with all work performed inside the shop; no travel or customer exposure is required. HVAC tools and equipment are provided; employees are responsible for their own basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform repairs and maintenance on locomotive air conditioning and heating units.
• Follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Operate various hand and power tools.
• Learn to troubleshoot and make necessary repairs to equipment.
• Shop cleaning and workplace maintenance.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license.
• General HVAC experience or equivalent training from a trade school.
• Ability to stand and bend over equipment for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work safely in a busy environment.
• Detail‑oriented.

Pay

$18.00‑$22.00 per hour.
