Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system failures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC control systems and building automation systems (BAS).
- Perform inspections and testing to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with applicable codes.
- Repair or replace compressors, motors, bearings, belts, fans, pumps, filters, and other HVAC components.
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reliability.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and equipment documentation.
- Cookordination work activities with operations, maintenance, contractors, and refinery personnel.
- Comply with all company, client, OSHA, and refinery safety requirements.
- Participate in emergency response and outage activities as required.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to apprentice and journeyman HVAC technicians.
Requirements
- Valid Master HVAC License (State of Wyoming or ability to obtain reciprocity if applicable).
- Minimum 5 years of commercial and industrial HVAC experience.
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, chillers, boilers, air handlers, package units, cooling towers, and ventilation systems.
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical systems up to 480V.
- Knowledge of HVAC controls, BAS systems, and PLC interfaces.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and calibration instruments.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to pass all site-specific requirements, background checks, and drug screening.
Qualifications
- Refinery, petrochemical, industrial manufacturing, or heavy industrial maintenance experience.
- Experience with Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Siemens, Trane, or similar automation systems.
- NCCER certification or equivalent technical training.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and access elevated platforms.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and wear required PPE.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
