HVAC Technician - Austin Industrial (Bay City, TX.)

Responsibilities
- Analyze, Plan, and Perform Preventive Maintenance of HVAC System.
- Plan shutdowns for maintenance and repair pumps including chill water, heating water and condensation pumps.
- Brazing, soldering, pipefitting, welding, and fabrication.
- Inspect, monitor, repair, maintain, and operate mechanical systems, motors, compressors, pumps, fans, ducts, pipes, thermostats, and switches.
- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilating, air conditioning, glycol, heating, hot water, and steam distribution equipment and systems to optimize performance and energy use.
- Troubleshoot, repair and make modifications to HVAC System.
- Adhere to all city, state, and federal regulatory statues.
- Maintain maintenance records as required by City, State, and EPA regulations.
- Order and maintain parts needed to repair and maintain HVAC Equipment.
- Manage relationship with all major vendor accounts.
- Properly maintain and safeguard district assets.
Requirements
- Must have if yes what is your NCCER Card Number? If not applicable, enter N/A.
- Industrial Experience - Perform maintenance/repair and install at times HVAC equipment such as window units and commercial/industrial building refrigeration units, and to be familiar with industrial chiller units.
Qualifications
- Education – no minimum education requirements.
- Certifications/License's: Universal EPA and Valid Driver's License.
- Experience – 4 years of Industrial experience to include working on chillers.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell.
- The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to Pass D.O.T. physical and NASAP D.O.T. test.
