HVAC Technician

About the role

The HVAC Installer is responsible for installing new HVAC units and systems in new construction modular buildings.

Responsibilities

• Installs new HVAC units in new construction for modular multi-family homes.
• Installs ductwork and thermostats to control the HVAC system.
• Installs various types of HVAC systems such as PTAC, heat pumps, ERV.
• Complies with company and industry safety standards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Vocational/High school diploma or GED; HVAC certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year working directly with HVAC systems.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment preferred.
• Mechanically inclined, dependable, and punctual.
• Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints is desired.
• Ability to use power and hand tools.
• Excellent mechanical skills.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 75lbs regularly.
• Ability to climb stairs and ramps, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, squat, lift, grasp, speak, hear, and see objects.
• Ability to respond quickly to sounds; ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
• Ability to work safely in confined spaces.
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.

Working Conditions

• Onsite work at Berwick facility.
• Occasional overtime may be requested.
• Frequent exposure to manufacturing plant environment.
• Occasional exposure to general office setting.

Pay

$22.32 - $28.32 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

• Hours of Operations: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM with some overtime required extending the day to 4:30 PM.
• Breaks: 10 min @ 9:00 AM, Lunch 30 min @ 11:00 AM, 10 min @ 1:30 PM.
