HVAC Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all HVAC systems
• Aid with HVAC system installations
• Perform routine preventive maintenance
• Maintain water treatment systems
• Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment and appliances
• Maintain accurate logs and maintenance records
• Monitor and adjust property wide temperature controls and set points

Knowledge and Certification, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge and Certification Required: Two (2) years vocational HVAC training or five (5) years of equivalent on-the-job experience, Valid HVAC and Refrigerant Certification, Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Preferred: Class C Chief Boiler License
• Skills Required: Strong attention to detail and accuracy, Highly organized with the ability to adapt to changing priorities, Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Preferred: Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and familiarity with DX/DDC control systems

Physical Demands

• Must be able to walk or stand for up to 8 hours
• Must have a good balance and be able to bend, kneel, and stoop as needed
• Must be able to occasionally push, pull, and grasp objects
• Must be able to climb a ladder
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds independently on a routine basis
• Must have the ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
• Must have good hand-eye coordination

Working Environment

• Work is performed throughout the property both indoors and outdoors, and may include exposure to loud noise (power tools), dust, fumes (chemicals, paints, varnishes), flashing lights, and cigarette smoke
• Must be able to work in tight spaces and in all weather conditions
• Overtime may occasionally be required
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
