HVAC Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and service HVAC systems and equipment throughout University buildings
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems
• Complete small HVAC installation, replacement, and renovation projects
• Repair all rooftop units on campus buildings
• Work under general supervision of the Master Trades Craftsman and Maintenance Manager

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Trade experience directly related to HVAC
• Excellent customer service skills
• Sound judgement and ethical demeanor
• Valid driver's license with safe driving history
• Thorough knowledge of tools, equipment, materials, construction practices and procedures
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, plans, and specifications
• HVAC skills developed through several years of on-the-job experience
• Physical ability to climb ladders and scaffolds, crawl under buildings and above ceilings
